![]() To people looking for an F1 race/strategy sim it means there effectively is no game at all. Which effectively means there is no AI, but also no real strategy anymore so you cant take much advantage anymore in any meaningful sense other than taking advantage of the worst bugs in their scripts. But this script doesn't work with any kind of dynamic setting or in-depth simulation, so they disabled lots of it and reduced tire delta. So they pretty much cobbled together a very basic script that allows the AI to more or less drive around without responding to anything (so it wont pit under safety car when it should, wont try to undercut, it wont even replace broken wet tires and instead just drives until DNF). What happened is that they tried to go for an actual simulator but couldn't get the AI to work. The last two days it became obvious that what they said indeed was basically a lie. This is weird of course because they have all data and you only need one dev that occassionally watches F1 to see it is not working. Even more so when they acted surprised and asked us to send reports so they could investigate. People initially thought it was just poor design and Frontier didn't understand F1. As a result, almost always a 1-stop strategy is best, softs have no use, you cant undercut and so on. There is no reason to be "constructive" about publicly traded corporations valued at 700 million euro knowingly selling broken products.Īt first the most obvious one is that tire compounds aren't much different in speed. We do not need to be thoughtful, Frontier is not listening and they can "better service us in the future" by not knowingly releasing completely broken products and trying to hide the fact. And atfer the community discovered just how broken the game really is it has been 100% radio silence. After that they said fixing it might happen, or not, and if it will it'll take a bunch of time. They then pretended to be surprised by it and asked for feedback so they can "investigate". This game is fundamentally broken, they knew it and released it anyway. This is not a normal release with the usual teething issues and unforseen bugs. While I appreciate the positivity it is, unfortunately, based on nothing. Otherwise, how can they better service us in the future either through update or next year’s game?īut being borderline hateful and insulting Frontier’s integrity is a big way to get upvoted and it’s not getting anything helpful through to the people at Frontier who see and sift through the comments that could help their next big updates which will undoubtedly come throughout the year. Not angry and adding nothing helpful to the discourse. Someone made a post a couple days ago listing 10 things wrong that can be improved and it was actually constructive and not just another person bitching about how this is the worst sports game ever made and that they asked for a refund immediately and say definitively Frontier are never going to work on it, etc, etc.įrontier are listening and we should be thoughtful and measured with our critiques and grievances. We need more posts with people detailing their experiences both positive and negative. I’m having a blast trying to develop my car and race but I am starting to find it easy and I’m also getting intensely frustrated at some of the gameplay during a race. There doesn’t need to be toxic positivity either. But being borderline hateful and insulting Frontier’s integrity is a big way to get upvoted and it’s not getting anything helpful through to the people at Frontier who see and sift through the comments that could help their next big updates which will undoubtedly come throughout the year. You want the devs to see your comments, I get it. ![]() ![]() I agree with most of your comment but I feel as if people are contributing absolutely nothing constructive and just use the opportunity on this sub to be exceptionally angry. ![]()
